Daniel

Thompson explores the relationship between the Old and New Testament, especially the title 'Son of Man'. He stresses the importance of reading Daniel in it's original context before we get to Jesus. Thompson then reads the text in it's original context.

Thompson speaks on Daniel 6. He recaps the earlier talks, connecting the themes across the book, and what we learn about God. He stresses that God really rules and rescues, when all the dust settles. Thompson explores the contrast in the chapter.

Thompson expounds Daniel 2. He examines the actions of Daniel, especially his dependance on God shown in his prayer. Thompson explores Daniel's response to God's revelation, including his praise and proclamation. Thompson reminds listeners that it is God who sets up and removes rulers, and that they are temporary, as contemporary leaders. The kingdom has become Christ's and he shall reign forever.
