This sermon appears to use Simeon’s outline on this passage but Marsden has not copied out slabs. Isaiah 11 C. V. 10. In that day there shall be a root of Jesse.

Theme: Spiritual Preservation. Refers to parents desire for security of their children and considers the spiritual parent will be rewarded provided the children behave. Discusses the blessing desired and the assurance given of our being preserved. Encourages people to set forth their christianity. 10pp., complete,., watermark. 1830

Psalm 51:7 'Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.' Theme: Repentence. 1 page outlining the sermon content. Considers the nature of sin and the means of deliverance from it. 1pp. Incomplete., watermark 1808

Description of the incarnation of Christ represented in the Angels hymn as the brightest manifestation of the divine glory, the means of effecting peace upon earth and the most astonishing display of divine love. Considers the proper office of conscience, our duty to our conscience, and shows how we should obey what it dictates. Considers in what respect Christ is the consolation of Israel and in what manner we are to wait for him.
