Centre for the Study of Australian Christianity seminar Van Eyk looks at the challenges facing Catholic schools around maintaining their ethos in balance with changes within society. He speaks on a section of his thesis "School for religion or advantage : parental intent and a Catholic school religious culture" Van Eyk explores some of the issues. He then explains some survey results from 1992 in why parents chose the school. Van Eyk follows this with suggestions from parents in how to improve the school, and how these are different to authorities who operate Catholic schools Van Eyk then looks at the parent agendas in contrast to the school authorities. He closes with a summary of where we are going with this for the future. Some static throughout
