Timmins looks at 1 Peter 1:1-12. He shows that we find true hope in Jesus, and that trials only strengthen this hope. Timmins shows that God's plan revolves around Jesus, and that we are privledged to know Jesus, as prophets longed to know him. He stresses that our happiness is with Christ, and not in this world.
