Bingham speaks on Galatians 1:5-6. He looks at a believer's need for the epistles. He looks at the challenges posed by the judaisers, especially Paul's authority. Bingham explains the history of the Kesick movement, and it's interaction with the gospel. He warns against works-righteousness, stressing that we are freed by grace. Bingham shows that salvation is accompanied by union of Christ, justification, and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Bingham stresses that Christ's death and resurrection is central to holiness. He shows that we can not continue to sin once we are saved, as guilt, which is the power of sin, has been removed. Bingham emphasises that salvation is completed through the cross, and that we can not add to it. He explains why he is speaking on holiness, and why we find it hard to be honest in regards to our own holiness. Bingham shows that we need God's word to see clearly, that God is handing us over to our sin, but that we are moving into light. He explores how to be holy. The truth of reconciliation He looks at the prediction's of Christ's death, and how essential it was. He shows that Christ has defeated all his and all our enemies. Bingham looks at the role of the law, and the nature of sin. Bingham explores Jesus' lordship, and the implication of this for our salvation.
