Exergesis of 1 John 4-5. Salier gives a summary of the previous talks in the series. Testing spirits, such as testing other teachings or teachers, and being discerning. Comparing the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Falsehoods using langauge such as antichrists and false prophets. Sailer discusses the relationship between the church and the world, before explaining the use of pronouns within 1 John. In the section section the topic of love is resumed, now in relation to Christ's love for us.

Talk on prayer, how it is modeled and taught. Salier explores Paul's prayer in Philippians 1.
Salier speaks on the golden calf from Exodus 32-34. He shows that Israel need another saving from themselves and their own rebelling. Salier puts the event in it’s historical context. He shows that the covenant was broken with the creation of the calf, the leadership has failed, and needs to be reasserted in their decision of which God they will follow. Salier details Israel's repentence following this sin. He explores Moses' desire to see God's glory and God passing by. He shows this is the same as seeing his character. He shows that the covenant is reinstated with the creation of the second set of tablets. Sailer speaks on the need to see both ways in order to see the full picture. He explains to see the full picture of God we need to understand both his judgement as well as love. He works through the 10 plagues as judgement in three cycles. Sailer pays particular attention to the final plague - the death of the firstborn and the requirements for the Israelites.
