In Folder: Jensen, Rev Dr Peter
Jensen looks at where we are going with God. 1. Why was it necessary to have a covenant-renewal ceremony? Jensen looks at the decision to serve Yahweh. 2. The people were reliant on God, as seen in the conquest and the division of the land. 3. Where biblical piety begins - grace that demands the heart

Jensen speaks on Joshua 21:43-45 and 22:34. He looks at conflict in contrast to this passage 1. Conflict with sin 2. Conflict with suffering 3. Conflict with others 4. Suffering because of ministry 5. Conflict with Satan These should not be a surprise - this is what happens when we come to Christ. Jensen speaks again on Joshua 21:43-45, 22:34. He again looks at the theme of conflict, including the opposing altar built by two and a half tribes following the conquest of Canaan. Jensen explores why this account is included, especially that they must have a single focus on God, and that this is seen by the others of Israel that this was sin and walking away from God. The people recognise the unity of the people in worship of God, either in sin or blessing. Jensen briefly compares this to the church, especially standing up against error, even at the cost of conflict and personal suffering. Originally delivered 1984-01-01
