UNSW/St Matthias Unichurch sermon

Jensen speaks on the humanist movement. He shows that this did not destroy spiritual longing, but that it made it hard for people to reach Christ. He encourages people to 'ask, seek, knock' and that the Father will respond. Jensen shows that God has approached us, and not us going to him., Cassette label reads : "Wednesday 24th December 2003, 8:00pm Archbishop Peter Jensen - Christmas Eve St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney" Tape is at high speed.

The Lord's Prayer, C 225 JEN

unknown

Jensen looks at Mary as the second Eve - where God repeats what he was doing with Eve again with Mary. He presents some challenges with this thinking. Jensen stresses the importance of looking at the individual lives of people of faith in the Bible, as it reveals that they are sinners like us. He explores the relationship between divine decision and human responsibility - 100% God and 100% us.
