McKewn explores from Colossians what makes Christianity different from other faiths. He explains that we were/are dead, and that Jesus is giving us life because Jesus' life is our life because we are raised with Christ. He explains what it means for us to 'seek the things that are above' and to be focused on Christ instead of this world. McKewn encourages his listeners to constantly remind one another of the gospel so as to renew their minds and put on the new life. Everything should be done for Jesus, because our lives have been bought for Jesus., Cassette label reads: "Crossroads @5 Phil McKewn 15/12/02 Colossians 3:1-17"

McKewn explores the value of serving God from Malachi. He explores how Israel (and us) have rejected God and need to repent and turn back to God, and serve him whole-heartedly. He also encourages those who are still trusting him to stand firm. McKewn explores the imagery of The Day of the Lord. He shows that we have all fallen short of God's standards, but that the Day of the Lord is a day of joy for those who have stood firm. McKewn shows that John is Elijiah, and argues that the Day of the Lord comes in two parts. He argues that part of it came when Christ died, and part will happen when Christ returns., Cassette label reads : "30 Jun 2002 Crossroads@5 'What's the point in being Christian?' Malachi 3:13-4:6 Phil McKeown 35 min"
