Salt speaks on Habbakuk 3. She shows that faith based in the faithfulness of God is concrete, and that this brought a different perspective on suffering/struggling. Salt explains how looking back to God's faithfulness enables Habakuk to look forward with confidence. She looks at how we pray and how that reflects our trust. 1. Praise and petition to God's character (v.1-2) 2. Appeal in wrath : remember mercy (v.1-2) 3. God's mighty deeds of the past, especially the plagues in Egypt and God speaking to Moses at Mount Sinai (v.3-7) 4. Powerful presence of God - in creation Salt encourages the audience to also look back to the mighty deeds of God when they are struggling. She stresses the importance of preaching the gospel to ourselves, and to not grow tired of the cross. Salt explores the book of Habbakuk. She looks at how to respond when life is hard, and the cry of 'how long?'. Salt explores God's plan to use a people who were seemed to more evil than the Israelities. She stresses the importance of talking and wrestling with God in prayer, and that this is much better than walking away as we are still in relationship. Salt examines the bigger picture provided by God to Habbakuk, for the use of the Babylonians. She shows that there will be judgement and justice for rebellion.
