Shead speaks on how God's people fulfilled God's royal mandate in the church, from Jeremiah 21. He gives historical and biblical context. Shead expounds Jeremiah's warning, and call to submit to Nebuchadnezzar. He looks at God's response in contrast to earlier wars/invasions. Shead shows that God says that Zedekiah's actions are the same as idolatry. Shead explains that kings were supposed to mediate between God and man, and that ministers have this same responsibility, to not be idolatrous.

Shead explores Jeremiah 22:13-19, exploring what happens when the king does what it right and just, including experiencing God's blessing. 1. Is this how we practice God's righteousness to the world? 2. What should the kingship of Jesus look like today?
