Chapman speaks on the parables of the lost sheep and coin. He looks at why the parables were told, to show that God is taking the initative to call people to Christ. He explains that the parable means that there is more rejoicing over one sinner who repents, then 99 who are self-righteous and relying on good works. Chapman looks at some application, including rejoicing over others coming back to Christ, and a commitment to the spread of the gospel. Chapman then expounds the parables.
