Thompson speaks on Matthew 24:1-14. He explains how abstract this passage seems, and yet seems relevant to 2022. He places the passage in it's historical context, and explores Jesus' warning to not be deceived. Thompson compares the warnings of places we might be deceived in our current world, and that the things happening in the 21st century, including the Ukraine War, but that this is not the end. Thompson shows that Jesus is still in control, and that we shouldn't be alarmed by disasters, or fooled by people claiming to be our saviour.

Thompson shows that it is really easy for us to play down sin from Matthew 26:36-46. He shows that Jesus is the only one who prays in the lead-up to his death, in contrast to the disciples. Thompson presents this as evidence that Jesus is genuinely human, and that the cup is the cup of God's wrath, referred to in Jeremiah. He stresses that there was no other why, seen in the answer to Jesus' cry for another way.

Thompson speaks on the reality of God's wrath, and that this is true justice. He reminds his listeners that people want justice in the world from Romans 3:21-36. He looks at propitiation in detail, to show that it was God at work to address his own wrath.

Thompson looks deeper at the power of Christ to save us from sin through his death, in Paul's letter to the Colossians. He shows that sin is forgiven, there is nothing that Satan can accuse us of. Thompson explains what it means for us to be in God's procession. He looks at the ways we can still fall into deceit, depite the victory of the cross. Thompson reminds his listeners that we do not need to be trapped in our thinking, as wisdom is only in Christ.

Thompson reminds his listeners that being unclean or defiled can not be taken lightly, and must be dealt with before people can approach God. Thompson looks at the role of Jesus as sacrifice and cleanser, mediator and redeemer as described in Hebrews 9:11-28.

Thompson speaks on Matthew 24:15-35 and God's right to election. He shows how this shines against the blackness of the world. Thompson speaks of the destruction of Jerusaleum, the end of time, and that because of the elect the time will be shortened. He shows that God will not let any of the elect be lost. Thompson argues that this sets the tone for the last days, and that the distress is shortened because of the elect. Thompson speaks on the coming of the Son of Man.

Thompson details the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and the scribes, exploring appearing to spread the gospel, but actually building up ourselves. Thompson looks at the different ways the Lord's Supper is treated. He looks at the role of both the Lord's Supper and Passover, in their biblical context, from Matthew 26:17-35. Thompson explores what the Passover points to, and how Jesus fulfills this. He shows that participating in the Lord's Supper is a strong way of remembering and participating in Christ's death. Thompson warns against making the Lord's Supper an idol, but as a way of physically acknowleding Christ's death.

He explains how these parables show the reality of Jesus' return, and the wisdom of how we use our time.
