Isaiah 11:6-9 'The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb...' Theme: Judgement. Considers the time when Gods kingdom will be extended over all earth and peace shall reign. Discusses the charge that will be wrought in main, in the latter days, and the means by which it is to be affected. Concludes with an address to those who believe and their security. 10pp., complete.

Discusses the nature of evangelical repentence and the means by which it can be attained in relation to the text. Luke 13:14 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.' Theme: The Birth of Christ. Description of the incarnation of Christ represented in the Angels hymn as the brightest manifestation of the divine glory, the means of effecting peace upon earth and the most astonishing display of divine love. Romans 8:13 'For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye live through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.' Theme: Eternal Life. Describes the importance in knowing our State before God and what it will be in the eternal world. Considers the 'truths' as a carnal love terminating in everlasting misery and a life of mortification and self-denial terminating in everlasting happiness. Luke 18:6-8 'And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith... 'Theme: The duty of Prayer and Judgement. Considers what the unjust Judge said and the improvement suggested by way of instruction and Reproof. Concludes by addressing those who live without prayer, those who pray in a formal manner without spirit, those who pray earnestly for a while then become remiss, and those who received 'gravious' answers. 12pp., complete, 30 May, 1813, watermark 1809
Luke 12:16-18 'And he spake a parable unto them, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully...' Theme: Sharing Belief. Describes the belief that those who are interested in religion should teach the way of Salvation. Observes in relation to the parable that God invites us to partake of the Blessings of the Gospel and they are rejected with frivalous excuses. Concludes with an address to those who do not accept the Gospel. 10pp., complete., watermark 1808
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 'But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope...' Theme: Judgement Day. Discusses the declarations in relation to the certainty of Resurrection, the order in which it will be effected and the blessedness of this day to the saints. Concludes with an entreaty for non-believers to pray to God and beaware of the danger on the day of Judgement. 12pp., complete.
Luke 2:10-11 'And the Angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people...' Theme: Birth of Christ. Illustrates that the news of a Saviour's Birth may be called good Tidings of Great Joy and points out to whom they will be of great joy. Concludes that this is dependent upon what Foundation we stand for Eternity and how we view our Sin and Danger. 14pp., incomplete.
Luke 2:25 'And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and the same man was just and devout...' Theme: Christ's Consolation. Considers in what respect Christ is the consolation of Israel and in what manner we are to wait for him.
