Grimmond looks at the issue of food offered to idols, and living self-sacrifically from 1 Corinthians 10:14-11:1. 1. Fleeing from idolatry 2. Living in love with your neighbour in the context of idolatry.

Thompson speaks on 1 Corinthians 1:1-17. He looks at the ways the devil tries to stop the spread of the gospel, exploring the challenges faced by the Corinthian church. Thompson looks at the true identity of the Corinthians, which is to live a holy life, so as to be a light to the world. He challenges the audience to consider if they think of themselves as sanctified people,, and does this affect the way that we live. Thompson looks at the grace given to the Corinthians, to show that they are not lacking anything, reassuring them that grace is a resource from God, which enriches them. Thompson shows that God's grace makes the division in the church more tragic. He explores the appeal made to the Corinthians for unity.

Earngey looks at the right of payment, and the freedom to use it. He places in the context of rights and freedoms of food/temples, and that Paul then looks at rights and freedoms in his defence. 1. The right of payment 2. The freedom to use your income

Thompson speaks on the rebuke on doing more harm then good, as seen in meeting together for the Lord's Supper in 1 Corinthians 11:17-24. Tooher shares how/why she finds the Lord's Supper significant, even coming from a Catholic background. Thompson looks at the division in the church around food, which was driven by self-centredness. He challenges the audience to consider where we apply that same self-centredness. Thompson looks at what it teaches us about the Lord's Supper, including what is important and what isn't.

Grimmond expounds 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. He looks at why watching the gifts of others can be challenging. 1. You need to understand how much you have been impacted by idolatry 2. You need to understand how closely the work of the Spirit is connected to the work of Christ

Thompson explores what message disasters are supposed to mean from Revelation 8:6-11:19. He explains that these are a result both of our sin playing out, and of a world under judgement. Thompson shows that these are a call to repentance.

Thompson looks at how to avoid strange ideas from Revelation 6:1-8:5 by holding it in it's historical context. Thompson shows that there is a reason for perserverance, joy and confidence. He explains that in the vision, everything flows out of heaven, and the throne with the lamb does not change. Thompson shows that the imagery of catastrophies also transfers to his current audience. He explains that salvation is still secure amongst judgement. Thompson explains that because Jesus has triumphed, there must be severe judgement on the world. He stresses that God will reveal and protect his people.
