O'Brien looks at our lack of perfection and God's perfection from Hebrews 7. He looks at the way Hebrews describes Jesus' perfection as : Perfect Son of God Perfect High Priest Our perfection comes from him O'Brien shows that God's perfection comes to us through Jesus' priesthood, for it could not come through the Levitical priests. He examines why Jesus is the perfect priest that was need. O'Brien looks at the fulfillment of this perfection, and the assurance we have of getting there. He shows that we have this assurance because Jesus is alive. O'Brien looks at how Jesus helps us to persevere. A sermon given at Tuesday chapel.

Delivered by Peter T. O'Brien

O'Brien summarises earlier talks. O'Brien shows that the new priesthood is superior because of the new priest - Jesus. He looks at the characteristics of Jesus that enable him to be our High Priest. O'Brien compares this to the Levitical High Priests. O'Brien examines the prophesies in Isaiah about the Servant of the Lord, and how these are fulfilled in Jesus. He looks at the effect of the death of the Servant of the Lord, and that this is far superior to anything else. Chapel talk Originally delivered 2003-07-24
