Stott gives a summary of earlier talks on the church. He then explores the witness of the church of Jesus Christ from Luke 24:44-49. Stott summarises earlier talks. Stott looks at the destiny of the church from Colossians 3:3-4. He briefly expounds the passage, looking at both the term 'with Christ' and union with Christ. 1. Stott challenges two common criticism : 1. The church is unnecessary 2. Opposition to the church - Jesus is the builder of his church, and that we are all worthy of, and will face judgement Stott challenges some of the Catholic understandings. 3.
