Jensen speaks on boasting from 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5. He looks at the trap of putting our faith in the things that we boast in. Jensen examines the gifts that the early church boasted in, and how Paul argues against these. He looks at what the first century people were looking for, and how Paul was different. Jensen explores how crucifixion was perceived, and thus the significance of Jesus being crucified as the strongest attack on the world's perception of power.

Jensen looks at the tension for the children of the 1960s - young women now in their 30s. He explores how this group perceives themselves. He explains that the text is saying the same thing if it says "brothers" or "brothers and sisters". Jensen explains that we are awaiting true fulfillment when Christ returns, and that we can not find it in this life.
