Jeremiah looks at the connection between the Old and New Testaments, and that the Old Testament is still relevant to the present. He looks at the job of the prophet and priest to teach the word of God, and thus what happens when they are godless. Jensen looks at the warning given to the unfaithful teachers. Jensen then compares this to a present context, including deceptive teachers who do not live as God's people. He examines the response of not listening to false/deceptive prophets, and how to examine teaching. Originally delivered 2005-08-05 Static throughout.

Jensen speaks on Jeremiah 32. He looks at the fear of thinking that the inheritance of God's future has been removed. Jensen explains the historical context. 1. God will bring them back 2. They will be God's people 3. God will turn Israel's hearts Jensen looks at Jeremiah's purchase of a field from his cousin, and Jeremiah's puzzlement at this instruction. He works through Jeremiah's prayer in response to this purchase. Jensen looks at whether it is possible for there to be mercy amongst judgement.

Jensen speaks on Jeremiah 35. He looks at God's people living amongst another culture, and the issue of picking up the culture/gods of the people around. He looks at why this caused Judah to continue disobedience to God. Originally delivered 1980-01-01

Jensen looks at the context of Jeremiah 38, including the weakness of Zedekiah and Jeremiah being thrown into a cistern. Jensen explores the message from Jeremiah to Zedekiah, that Babylon is coming and the only thing to do to spare your life is to surrender. He then examines Zedekiah's response and trust in his friends. Jensen compares this to the noise of the world around us, including the temptations we face.
