Chapman looks at the uniqueness of Jesus in his death. He shows that all death is serious, and that crucifixion was common. Chapman looks at the significance of Jesus death, including the recall of Moses and Elijiah who come to talk to Jesus about it. He shows that we can not approach God as sinful people, and that it is through Jesus' death that we can approach him. He uses the thief on the cross as an example. Chapman calls on the audience to investigate Jesus, because God takes both sin and people seriously. He calls on the audience to repent, including a prayer of repentance. Sydney University Mission

Chapman speaks on the challenge and effect of death. He looks at what death is about. Chapman expounds John 11, to show that Jesus is the one to bring people through death to life. He looks at why Jesus is angry when confronted by death, as it was not what God intended for creation. Chapman then stresses that the raising of Lazarus shows that Jesus is the master of death, and that we do not want to be separated from God in eternity. Chapman speaks on John 5. He looks at Jesus' claim that he is the light of the world. He looks at how strange it is for Jesus to claim to be the Son of God. Chapman then looks at the healing of the blind man which is used as an illustration. 1. The blind man 2. He explains that we need to find out God's specialities are, and to do that we need to learn from Jesus, using illustrations of other specialists. Chapman then looks at Luke's claim in how he as collected his information from Luke 1. Chapman explores Jesus as a rescuer for the paralytic from Luke 5.
