Outlines the efforts made by the Roman Catholic Church to extend its influence and establish its supremacy. 3.SINGLETON, ON HUNTERS RIVER. 3 JULY, 1843. Reports on the lack of funds to complete the building of churches and acknowledges that Society is also short of funds.

Letter to Mr Campbell discussing the meeting held on 30th December 1839; a manuscript copy of minutes of the meeting held at the School House of the parishioners of St Philip's Parish, Sydney, 30th December 1839. The meeting discussed the inadequacy of the present St Philip's Church building, and submitting a petition to the Governor for a portion of land near Fort Philip fronting Fort Street.
